A friend from Barcelona sent me the link to this commercial for the Barcelona metro. According to him, the voice over says…

Girl: “I he tells me something, I sit”

Boy: “If she sits, I tell her something”

Cute.

After the Golden Dragon Parade (part of the Chinese Lunar New Year Celebration) in Chinatown, Angelenos packed the Chinatown Gold Line station. I’ve never seen a Gold Line station (or train) this crowded. Proof that Angelenos are ready and willing to use rail transit. Expand the rail system and bring more transit oriented development and events!

Here’s a new video via CurbedLA of a cheerful bus driver on the 754 to Hollywood.  This is the kind of stuff you can only get by embracing the public transit lifestyle.  Enjoy.

Marissa Gluck over at CurbedLA discovered this fantastical MetroMovie that proposes building a monorail over the Los Angeles river bed. Intriguing. Could add a whole new layer to the Los Angeles River Revitalization Plan. We’ll just have to wait 30 to 50 years to see!
