I think I want to move to East Hollywood. Their vision for their community (from that video last week) is pretty awesome and now we know they have a bike-friendly neighborhood council. I wonder how many of the board members hang out at Hel-Mel.
East Hollywood is definitely a cool neighborhood. It’s surprising lively, active, and “urban” for an LA hood. Oh man I miss the restaurants there, so much cheap good food.
Damien - A lot of us hang out there quite often. I live just up the street and go to Scoops at least once a week. Tai knows what we’re all about. In fact, when we were still forming the neighborhood council, we’d have our formation meetings at either Scoops or the cafe next door (when it was still Night in Tunisia).
Fred - What street did you live on?
Well I think technically I may have been just west of East Hollywood, at least according to the map on your website. I lived off Hollywood Blvd and Taft Ave. Right next to that 7-11 adjacent to the 101.
Fred: Got it. That’s actually Eastern Hollywood, not East Hollywood.
LOL But it’s close enough…Hollywood Billiards, Torung, Sabor y Cultura…Just as transit-friendly.
