Metrolink has announced it is adding two additional midday trains and extra cars to additional trains on the Antelope Valley line in response to the closure of Interstate 5.
Trains 210X and 212X depart Via Princessa station at 9:15 a.m. and 11 a.m. The timetables for intermediate stations are listed in the link above.
In addition, several additional parking lots will allow commuters to park their cars and be shuttled for a train ride through the Newhall Pass. Santa Clarita Transit and AVTA commuter pass holders can ride Metrolink free through the emergency period.
The additional parking lots are located at Six Flags (Lots A1, A2 and A3), Saugus Speedway (next to Santa Clarita Station), and San Fernando Road and Sixth Street and William S. Hart ParkĀ (near Newhall station).

How does one get from the Six Flags parking lot to the Metrolink train?
there is local service but u still have to walk a mega amount. for some reason theres no type of six flags shuttle from the station. in the spring i had a terribly “fun” work function gettaway, ala the office, and tried my best to avoid the party shuttle on the way. so i took the pleasant and timely metrolink to santa clarita station but had to have someone that also avoided the group pick me up. it worked for me but i had to cheat.
It says they put in shuttle service to go from the various parking lots (including Six Flags) to the station specifically to accommodate this situation.
Normally, it looks like you would have to get to the McBean Regional Transfer Center (Route 5 or 6 from Santa Clarita Metrolink, Route 8 from Sylmar Metrolink, Routes 1 or 2 from Newhall/Princessa Metrolink) and then take Santa Clarita Transit Routes 3 or 7 to Magic Mountain.
Just out of curiosity, does this cost count as subsidizing public transit? Or as subsidizing the automobile?
And what about the police/hospital/cleanup costs from all that wreckage?
