Metro fare hike sector meeting

In addition to Metro’s May 24 public hearing on possible fare increases, Metro will also make service sector meetings available for feedback. The times, dates and locations for these meetings are as follows: 

Business Advisory Council meeting: 8:30 a.m. Thursday, May 3, at Metro headquarters. It is accessible by Metro Red/Purple and Gold Lines, Rapid lines 740 and 745, express lines in the 400-499 series except 450 and 460, most local and limited-stop services to downtown Los Angeles; all Metrolink trains except Inland Empire/Orange County Line, Amtrak; FlyAwayFoothill Transit Silver Streak and lines 481, 493497, 498, 499 and 699; AVTA Line 785LADOT DASH Downtown Line D and Lincoln Heights/Chinatown; Santa Clarita Transit lines 794 and 799Santa Monica’s Big Blue Bus Line 10; and Torrance Transit lines 1 and 2

Gateway: 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 9 at the Gas Company Building, 9240 Firestone Blvd., Downey. It is accessible by Metro Local lines 115/315, 127, 266; and DowneyLink lines Northeast, Southwest and Southeast.

San Fernando Valley: 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, at the Marvin Braude Constituent Center (Van Nuys City Hall), 6262 Van Nuys Boulevard, in Van Nuys. It is accessible by the Metro Orange Line, Rapid Line 761, Local lines 156, 164, 233 and 237; and LADOT DASH Panorama City-Van Nuys and Van Nuys-Studio City.

San Gabriel Valley: 5 p.m. Monday, May 14 at the Metro San Gabriel Valley Sector Office, 3369 Santa Anita Ave., El Monte. This is located at the El Monte Bus Center, which is served by Metro Express lines 484, 490 and 577X, and Local lines 70/370, 76/376, 170, 176, 267, 268, 270 and 287; Foothill Transit Express lines 480/481, 482, 486, 488, 492 and 494, and local lines 178 and 269; and El Monte Trolley Lines Yellow and Green and Metrolink Express Shuttle.

South Bay: 9:30 a.m. Friday, May 11 at the Carson Community Center, 801 Carson St., Carson. It is accessible by Metro Express lines 446/447, Torrance Transit Line 3 and all Carson Circuit buses.

Westside/Central: 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 9 at the La Cienega Tennis Center, 325 S. La Cienega Blvd., Beverly Hills. It is accessible by Metro Rapid lines 705 and 720, Express line 550, Limited line 305, and Metro local lines 20/21, 28/328 and 105.
