Yelpcast update

Contributed by Wad on January 3rd, 2007 at 4:11 pm

In just a few weeks after adding a Yelp badge to the site (see lower right), MetroRiderLA has made its presence felt on the site, a social-networking site that’s part MySpace, part GoogleMaps and part Zagat guide. It’s quite a useful service.

Fred Camino and I have provided the content, and we also add the public transit connections to each location.

As of 4 p.m. January 3, our Yelpcast has 53 reviews. We received 5 compliments, made 10 friends, and our reviews have earned 65 useful votes, 35 cool votes and 1 funny vote.

From MetroRiderLA, we thank you for using our badge. More reviews are coming.

  1. Let it be know, that I’ve only written a paltry 6 out of the 53 MetroRider reviews on Yelp. Thanks for all your incredible contributions Wad, really don’t know how you did it.

I hope this service helps people discover some new places. I’ve already gone to George’s Greek Cafe in Downtown thanks to Wad’s review, and I must say I will be returning. Damn good.

If anyone else would like to add reviews to the Yelpcast, email mefor more info.

  2. Congratulations to FredCamino and Wad! Keep up the good work and go commercial someday. Oh, I don’t forget many of the contributors from Taft 2.0.
