Sick of just watching all those terrible singers? Sick of sitting on your couch come January and saying, “By god, I’m good enough to be on this show”? Well now’s your chance to join the troves and sing as bad, or for the few, as good as the rest. Got gray hair? Have a cleft palate? Think America is in dire need of seeing you sing dressed as an X-Men character? Well get your singing voices and absurd outfits/stories ready because American Idol Season 6 Auditions are coming to Los Angeles.

That’s right. On Tuesday, August 8th flocks upon packs upon herds upon thousands of thousands will be filling The Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA to prove they’ve got the stuff to make Taylor Hicks wish he had decided to emulate a high school football coach in Alabama instead of Joe Cocker. From there it’s just a quick ride on the 267.
