Ever been to the famous Rose Bowl in Pasadena? No? Yes, but it was only to see the Bruin’s football team get trounced upon so you’re not sure if that counts? Well now’s your chance to pop your cherry or replace that losing taste in your mouth with a new, much more flavorful taste of Rose Bowl fanfare by celebrating the 80th Annual Americafest at the Rose Bowl, Tuesday, July 4th. For just $10 (children under 5 are free) you can enjoy live music from the Pasadena Pops and The Five Browns while you put down all the barbeque you can handle. Then sit back and enjoy the cool SoCal evening with a thirty minute fireworks extravaganza put on by the world famous Pyrospectaculars. Festivities start at 11am so get there early and you won’t miss a thing. Since there are a million things to do on July 4th in Los Angeles there’s no excuse for doing nothing. And of course, always do them by way of public transit. Though Pasadena is easily assessable by the Metro Gold Line you may be coming from all directions so plan a trip yourself at MTA.net using 1001 Rose Bowl Drive, 91103 as your destination. After choosing the route that best suits you, make sure to notice the cool feature that pwnz drivers by showing how much more it would cost to drive, not including the cost to park. Now enjoy the explosions and extravagance that is American!
